Rubbish & waste

The bin room on the ground floor has collection bins for waste.

• Red and dark green lid bins: household waste (no liquids, electronic waste or hard rubbish like furniture)

• Yellow lid bins: are for recycling including paper, cardboard, milk and juice cartons, metal and plastic (only labelled 1 and 2). 

• Purple lid bins: glass such as jars and bottles with lids removed.

• Light green lid bin: FOGO scraps

Please check the Yarra City council site for more details. There are consequences for us if we get this preliminary sorting wrong. It may include refusal to empty our bins.

The recycle centre in Clifton Hill takes just about anything that can be recycled and is open on weekends.

We will arrange annual hard rubbish collections if there is enough interest (float the question on our group chat).
