The Owners Corporation would like to update you on the progress of our Graffiti Management Plan. As discussed and agreed at the November 2024 AGM (see Minutes, Item 23), refreshing the mural on the building façade was identified as an effective way to reduce ongoing tagging. Since then, we have developed a project brief, consulted with local artists, and received the draft concept shown at the bottom of this page.
For your reference, below are some photographs showing the building’s current condition. Council contractors will only repaint the black window screens and will not cover any areas with existing artwork. While they usually respond quickly to requests, the freshly painted sections create a blank canvas—and we have seen taggers return within hours!

After refining the project details and working closely with a group of well-known, respected local artists, we have prepared the following information pack for your review. To stay true to the Abito identity, the proposed artist team includes two of the original mural creators.
The artists have produced the following proposed draft. You will receive a survey by email to provide your comments about this artwork.
We will collate all your comments and provide them to the artists. This will allow them to create a version that will go to a Special Resolution to all owners for voting.
